About Nucleus Horizons
At Nucleus Horizons, we believe every family deserves the opportunity to stay together safely while receiving the support they need to thrive. Based in Southampton, our residential family assessment centre offers a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where parents can develop their skills, gain confidence, and demonstrate their ability to care for their children.
Nucleus Horizons was founded by Nucleus Independent Social Work Services, an established provider of specialist social work support across the South of England. Our centre was created to offer families a place of stability and growth—somewhere new beginnings can take shape.
Our Values
We work with parents and children who are referred by local authorities and the courts, providing evidence-based and strengths-focused parenting assessments underpinned by the principles of the Children Act 1989 and the Working Together to Safeguard Children (2020) framework.
Our experienced team, led by qualified social workers, brings together decades of expertise in child protection, safeguarding, and family assessment. We are guided by our core values - trust, open-mindedness, kindness, respect, and transparency, ensuring that every family receives fair, compassionate, and professional support.
Through tailored programmes, parenting guidance, and practical skill-building sessions, we aim to empower parents to make positive, lasting changes for their families.
